The Deluxe Double Room offered a spacious layout, with charming character that added a cozy touch. The central location allowed for quick access to nearby attractions, making it convenient for our short stay.
The breakfast situation was disappointing, as we learned there were no breakfasts available during our stay due to 'technical difficulties'. Accessing the room through a back yard and climbing a flight of steps made the arrival feel a bit unwelcoming. The carpet leading to our room was quite grimy, and the dampness in the room wasn't ideal. We faced issues with the cleanliness. some dust had accumulated on the lamps and surfaces, which detracted from our comfort. the lack of staff availability during our early departure was a minor inconvenience, as there was no one to assist us with leaving the key.

Our night at the Red Lion was memorable due to the unique aircraft-themed pizza menu and the delightful local ales brewed on-site.

The outside room was a great size with a comfy sofa and a spacious en-suite, and I really enjoyed the beer from the on-site brewery. The lovely garden offered perfect spots to relax while taking in the fresh air. The local area was charming. Just a heads up, it would be nice if the room was a bit more dusted, but overall, I had a lovely time! 🍻

The Red Lion has a charming and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were particularly attentive, making me feel comfortable as a senior guest. I appreciated the spacious seating areas and the lovely decor throughout the pub.
More senior-friendly menus and options would be beneficial.

It was just a prime choice for a weekend break in Cricklade with good price value. The carpet leading to the room was very grimy, but we found a decent parking spot close by. Make sure to check parking options beforehand.

Fantastic food and charming atmosphere
I had a delightful stay in a Deluxe Double Room, enjoying the spacious accommodations and lovely garden area. The homemade Scotch eggs were a standout dish, and the on-site microbrewery offered a great selection of craft beers. The only downside was the noise from the pub which could be a bit distracting at times.

Great spot for a cozy stay
I spent one night in a cozy Double Room—it was well appointed, comfortable, and perfect for relaxation. The food was incredible, I had this amazing bread and butter pudding it was the best dessert I've had in ages!
It wasn't exactly a bargain but worth every penny.

Great rooms and chill vibe!
Spent a night here after a long hike. The room was spacious and super clean, creating a nice atmosphere to unwind. It was a bummer not to find much nearby in town, and the dining area was kinda limited. The bar had a good selection, but they were tight on space since there was a beer fest going on.

definitely coming here again
The room was really spacious with a big cozy bed and a nice sofa. It had a private bathroom with a hot shower and a flat-screen TV. We loved the freshly made breakfast, and the large beer garden was perfect for sunny days. The staff were super welcoming and the beer selection was excellent with craft options.

Comfortable room, excellent restaurant, where we enjoyed a hot bath and a delicious breakfast to recharge for our walk along the Thames Path, with a pet-friendly policy that was a nice touch.
No faults whatsoever.

The cozy atmosphere is enhanced by the lively beer garden, perfect for unwinding after a long day. Enjoying a well-curated selection of craft beers really stood out during the stay.
Cleanliness left much to be desired, with dusty bedside lamps and grimy floors proving to be distracting. The room's proximity to the beer garden made for a noisy night, as the old windows allowed every rambunctious cheer to filter through, making sleep elusive until late. the kitchen had stopped serving meals by the time we arrived, leading to a disappointing lack of dining options, forcing us to get takeaway and eat in the pub’s dining area. Early morning trade deliveries commenced around 6:15 AM, contributing more noise and further detracting from a restful visit.

A Delightful Retreat with Exceptional Ale
Enjoyed a memorable two-night stay with easy access to a fantastic selection of local ales and delicious snacks. The winter beer festival, with its cozy heated tent, made the evenings special. A hidden gem for those passionate about craft beer! Don't miss the live music.
